On 22 May 2024 the New Zealand Government announced it will no longer provide funding the First Home Buyer Grants - and, effective immediately, Kāinga Ora will no longer accept new applications for these grants.
Applicants with existing approvals can still access the First Home Grant, and pre-approvals will still be valid for six-months from the application approval date.
